Introduction to visual cultures
IDP Research project

Student Inductions to the ‘Independent Research Project’ module will take place on Tuesday 24th September at Ashton Court in the Music Room (follow signage) at the following times:
09.30-10.30: Photography and Illustration
10.30-11.30: Animation, DAA and Graphics
11.30-12.30: Fashion and Fine Art

The module leader Rachael Miles will also be available at 12.30-13.30 (in the same venue) to field individual student queries.

These inductions will be followed by the first three open access Lectures in the 3 week Lecture Programme and are as follows:
13.30-14.30: Suze Adams: Landscape: Place, Space, Site.
14.30-15.30: A.Franklin: There's no b'ness like ho b'ness: considering the hip-hop 'ho'
15.30-16.30: Clare Johnson: Reading Tracy Emin

3,500 word document - for the essay, draft (1,000 word min)
                                        Presentation/pitch, bibliography
Journal article = like year 2 visual cultures
Critical review = object, exhibitions, Film, existing publication
                        5min poster presentation no more than 500 words. plan out presentation
business plan = case funding application
                          2 1500 words 
                          different study audience same
                          500 word bibliography detail or notation

3-20 min tutorials discussing topic/possibilities 
14th january deadline 
groups on blackboard friday- email sent out

Monday - friday tutorial session possibilities 
3b1 - change of rooms - check blackboard 

week 3 - sign ups
friday 18th october - selecting the right one 
outcome for the workshop will be different to normal tutor groups
